This message is the first of a two part series on the life of Esther. This is the only book where the name of God is not specifically mentioned. Yet you see the handiwork of God all through the pages of this book. As we examine the lives of five people within this book we see God orchestrating events and putting people in significant positions to accomplish his work. We see the sovereignty of God at work in the lives of the king, the queen, Haman, Mordecai and Esther. We also discover how God works through those who choose to serve God. As often is the case, God depends upon the faithfulness of ordinary people to accomplish his purposes.
