This passage encourages you to show compassion, to meet needs and to set a godly example for others. Living for Christ each day will have a powerful influence in drawing others to Christ.

As a result of following Christ you can expect persecution and trouble. Christians are to support one another in the tough times. He suggests you do this by praying for each other, loving one another and showing hospitality to each other. Finally he says Christians are to serve one another with the gifts the Spirit of God places in your life. As you do all these things for each other you will be able to endure the storms that you face without being overwhelmed.
