The Grace Files: You Can’t Buy It, It’s Free
02/22/09
Dr. Phil Wilkes, Ephesians 2:11-22
In Ephesians 1 Paul reminds us that God chose each of us for Himself. It is his desire that you enter a living relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. In Chapter 2 he reminds us of our separation from God because of our rebellion (sin). The good news is God acted out of his rich mercy for you to bring you salvation through Jesus Christ. He did not leave you in despair and hopeless. God’s grace and unconditional love is for every person. Christ redeems each of us for a purpose. God brings each of us into his family and gives life meaning. As a Christ follower it is God’s desire that you now “walk about” in doing good works to serve others. Your good works are the result of Christ bringing you salvation. These good works are the byproduct of knowing Jesus Christ.
