There is a huge difference between wishful thinking and hope. Hope is a powerful motivator in our lives. It enables you to keep going when circumstances are not in your favor. Amos delivers a message to the Israelites that they will be taken into captivity by a pagan nation. But in the midst of God’s judgment he also offers hope. Those who turn back to God will come through as a remnant God will re-establish in Israel. God assures those who fully trust Him that they are not abandoned or forgotten even in dark days. They have hope because God is working in their lives. Rediscover hope in your life as you give yourself fully to Christ.
