He suggests you do this by praying for each other, loving one another and showing hospitality to each other. Finally he says Christians are to serve one another with the gifts the Spirit of God places in your life. As you do all these things for each other you will be able to endure the storms that you face without being overwhelmed.

Whatever is inside you will come out when put under enough pressure. Peter wants believers to continue to focus on their relationship with Christ. As Christian respond under pressure those around them will see their faith and also be drawn to Christ. Christ is our example for how to respond. Peter assumes there will be times that because you follow Christ that you will suffer. God can work in your life in the midst of the suffering. You can live courageously because Christ is at work in your life even in the hardships and persecution.

When you do this then what comes out of you under pressure in the storm will honor Christ and provide testimony to others of your faith in the Lord.
