Financial Free Fall Part 2
- Now playing
- Sermon Notes
What causes you fear? For some it’s their checkbook. They have more month than money left at the end of it. Where is God when finances are in shambles? When your income is lost? How do we respond?
God has told us how much he loves us and how he can take care of us. We have to decide if we will surrender our finances to God. There are many Christians who have yet to surrender fully to Christ when it comes to finances. Less than 10% of Christians actually tithe. They trust more in the bank account than in God.
Jesus assures us that our Father is more than able to meet our needs. We do not have to fear opening our checkbook or savings book to look at our balances. There should not be anxiety over money. The Lord urges us to seek first His Kingdom, that includes tithing to your church, and Jesus says all these other things will be taken care of.
Do we really believe Jesus? Do we really trust Jesus more than money? Does your bank account reflect that trust in tithes that come out of it to the local church? James reminds us that “faith without works is dead.” Trusting God with our finances innoculates us from being infected with fear.
The joy of the Lord truly is our strength.
