Cross Culture – NCBC’s Youth Ministry
This is a place were you can meet friends, have fun and most importantly find a life-giving relationship with Christ. If you are a 6th-12th grader, we are happy to have you! In addition to the our regular meetings we offer special events like these:
- Laser tag
- Camps and retreats
- Social events like bonfires and scavenger hunts
- Mission trips and service projects.
We meet every Friday Night 7-9pm at New Colony Baptist Church on 30 River St. in Billerica. We meet at the Martin Mission House (the big white building on the back parking lot). Special events are announced on our Facebook page and church Calendar on the website (as well as in our meetings).
Cross Culture shares New Colony’s Vision Statement.
Cross Culture exists to provide a safe place for junior high and high school students to first and foremost learn about God and the Christian way of life while having fun and forming friendships. Like Jesus, we invite any student to “come and see” what we are all about in a safe, friendly, and fun environment.
For more information or if you have questions please contact Pastor Joe Hoyle, Associate Pastor of Youth Ministries, at 978-663-4773.
Pastor Joe: A native of Texas, Joe is quickly losing his accent and completely at home in New England. A fan of coffee, good books, the outdoors, weird music, and baby squirrels. For a more serious bio, please go to the church Staff page.
Crosswalk and YEC
The Baptist Convention of New England puts on two yearly retreats every year. Crosswalk is the annual summer retreat usually the 2nd or 3rd week of July. It is a week long camp hosted by Gordon College in Wenham, MA that is all about fun, friends, and learning more about Christ and what he means.
YEC (Youth Encountering Christ) is the annual retreat either the first weekend of February or the last weekend of January. It provides a fun break from the cold and boredom of the winter months. Games, sports, arts and crafts as well as worship and Bible study hosted by the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, MA.
