Leading You Home

The shepherd leads his flock from the home pastures through the dangerous valley up into the “tablelands” or plateaus where the flock will graze during the summer. As fall beings turning to winter the shepherd leads the flock back down from the high tablelands to their home for the winter.

All along the way, the faithful shepherd watches over his flock. He has already prepared the way for the sheep to travel. He has taken care of every need his flock has.

Jesus is our faithful shepherd. The Lord has already gone before us preparing the way for our journey in this life. He also has gone through the valley of the shadow of death so that it no longer is something to be feared. He has conquered death and assures us that He will be with us through this journey we call life. Every need that we have is taken care of by our shepherd Jesus. Every fear is replaced with peace, knowing that the Shepherd Jesus is with us and watching over us.
